Round Rock ISD has named Dr. Patricia Rendon-Ephlin the new principal of Hernandez Middle School. Rendon-Ephlin has worked in Round Rock ISD for 14 years and served for the past 11 years as principal of Robertson Elementary.
Investing in the District’s classroom substitutes, Round Rock ISD recently announced that the daily rate for all classroom substitutes has increased to $95 per day for actively certified substitutes and $90 for non-certified substitutes.
Round Rock ISD has named Alifia Britton the new principal of Double File Trail Elementary School. Britton has worked in Round Rock ISD since 2015 and most recently served as assistant principal at C.D. Fulkes Middle School. She has also worked as a District instructional specialist, assistant principal and master teacher in Austin ISD, Manor ISD and Pflugerville ISD. She has 18 years of experience in education.
Round Rock ISD Superintendent of Schools Steve Flores, Ph.D. has named Ramiro Flores to serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment comes following current CFO Randy Staats’ announcement that he is leaving the District to serve as CFO for the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority.
Terry C. Worcester has been named Round Rock Independent School District’s Chief Operating Officer. Worcester has more than 30 years of experience in architectural design and currently serves as Round Rock ISD’s director of construction, where he is charged with oversight of construction projects totaling approximately $300 million.
