Board of Trustees seeks community interest to serve on the TCAD Board of Directors

The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees seeks community interest in serving on the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD). Community members interested in serving as a TCAD Board of Director must submit their resume letter of interest, and home address by Thursday, Oct. 12. Applicants must live in Travis County. They will serve on the Board for one year.

7 Round Rock ISD schools named 2019 ‘Children at Risk’ Top Performing Schools

Seven Round Rock ISD schools were ranked among the top schools in Central Texas by the 2019 CHILDREN AT RISK Annual School Rankings. Canyon Creek, Cactus Ranch, Laurel Mountain, Spicewood, and Sommer elementary schools were named five out of the top five elementary schools in the Central Texas area. In the middle school category, Canyon Vista and Walsh were named two of the top five.

Five Round Rock ISD Campuses Selected for Second Cohort of Holdsworth Center Campus Leadership Program

For the second consecutive year, five campuses from Round Rock ISD have been selected to participate in a two-year campus leadership program designed for principals and campus leadership to focus on and further establish practices for teacher development, individual growth plans, and campus transformation plans.

Dr. Laura Carlin-Gonzalez named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning

Dr. Laura Carlin-Gonzalez has been named Round Rock ISD's executive director of teaching and learning, where she will provide leadership and oversight for the District’s teaching and learning programs, including curriculum and assessment, library services, professional development, and instructional technology.
