Round Rock ISD Seeks Volunteers for Back to School Event

Round Rock ISD is seeking volunteers for its Back to School Celebration scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at Stony Point High School, 1801 Tiger Trail, Round Rock, TX 78664. The event is held in partnership with the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation and Texas Children’s Hospital.

Partner Spotlight: Salient Systems

Over the course of four weeks, two students from each grade level at Chisholm Trail Middle School won a brand-new bike complete with helmets and locks if their names were chosen, thanks to a partnership with Salient Systems.

Ranger ACE Construction Camp 2022

Ranger ACE Construction Camp partners with Round Rock ISD to show middle and high school students the ins and outs of the construction business all while building a basketball court for a Round Rock ISD elementary school. This year marks the third basketball court they have built.

Round Rock ISD celebrated its annual Back to School Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 6, with more than 5,000 students and families who filled the Stony Point High School campus to kick off the new school year. Round Rock ISD celebrated its annual Back to School Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 6, with more than 5,000 students and families who filled the Stony Point High School campus to kick off the new school year.

The event, sponsored by the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation and Texas Children’s Hospital provided students with the opportunity to receive free vaccinations, eye exams, hearing exams and entertainment throughout the day.

Cedar Ridge, Stony Point students named winners of Fashion Collective Initiative

Students from Cedar Ridge and Stony Point high schools were named winners of the Fashion Collective Initiative, a competition that focused on selecting the best student fashions designs and business plans. The competition was made possible through a partnership between Round Rock ISD and Shop LC, an Austin-based retailer focused on fine jewelry, beauty, fashion, home decor and lifestyle products.

In an effort to show Round Rock ISD educators how much they are appreciated during this incredibly challenging time, Western Governors University (WGU) launched a contest for teachers to nominate colleagues by writing about how they are inspirational. Kim Bowman, special education teacher, at Old Town Elementary was the first place winner. Bowman was nominated by her principal, Jessica Schock.
