Round Rock ISD and the Board of Trustees are committed to a transparent process as we search for the District’s next leader. An essential part of the process is obtaining feedback from everyone in the community.
State-mandated student assessments return for Spring 2021
After being canceled in the Spring of 2020 due to the pandemic, state-mandated student testing returns in April.
Campus operations update for Feb. 24 – Feb. 26
The majority of Round Rock ISD schools will resume operations on Wednesday, Feb 24. A small number of schools will have adjustments made to their campus operations this week to accommodate repairs and impacts due to the winter storm.
Update on school operations Feb. 24 – Feb. 26
Maintenance and custodial crews continue to work around the clock repairing storm damage and preparing campuses to welcome back students safely. Thanks to the dedication of these hard-working teams, we are hopeful that we will resume campus operations on Wednesday, Feb. 24. We will make a final determination tomorrow and will communicate to our staff and families as soon as possible.
All classes canceled and offices closed for Feb. 22 and Feb. 23, 2021
We continue to assess winter storm damage across the District and determine our ability to safely welcome students back. More than 70 incidents of storm-related damage have been reported at campuses and District facilities, ranging from minor to severe. Given all of these issues, all Round Rock ISD campuses and offices will remain closed Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 22-23.
All classes and activities canceled and offices closed for Feb. 17, Feb. 18 and Feb. 19
Due to continued power outages, all Round Rock ISD classes and activities are canceled and offices are closed for Wednesday, Feb. 17, Thursday, Feb. 18. and Friday, Feb. 19. Students and staff will not report to campuses or offices during this time.
Round Rock ISD COVID-19 testing for students and staff
Round Rock ISD offers free rapid COVID-19 testing by appointment to staff and students at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center, located at 5800 McNeil Drive, Austin, 78729. Testing is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
