Turning a massive, traditional education system “on a dime,” so to speak, into a virtual environment has been challenging and complicated, particularly as we worked to ensure all of our students had access to the tools they needed to continue learning. There are no words to adequately express my gratitude for your patience and support and to our dedicated educators, administrators and operations staff who worked day and night to support students. We are all ready to turn the page on 2019-2020, but we also know we still face an uncertain future. With that in mind, I want to share with you our plans for the summer and how we are working to design the 2020-2021 school year.
Round Rock ISD students will be able to keep Chromebooks and internet hotspots that were checked out this school year during the summer. Students will keep their devices to support instructional continuity and access to educational resources and bring them to their campuses once schools are safely reopened.
