Fall Planning Update: COVID-19 guidelines available/Transfer form open for virtual learning

To provide families with an overview of District health and safety protocols, the COVID-19 Guidance for Fall 2021 is now available on the District’s COVID-19 Resource website. The District is also offering a virtual learning option for students in kindergarten through sixth grade, at least through the Fall semester, due to the fact that children under 12 are not yet eligible to receive the vaccine.

Round Rock ISD serves all students free meals through June 2022

Round Rock ISD Food Services will provide free meals, breakfast, and lunch for all students until June 2022. All students are encouraged to participate in free school meals. “As a federally funded program, Round Rock ISD Food Services receives reimbursement for each student meal served,” said Yana Koleva, director of food services. “The more students who eat meals at school, the more funding we have to invest in the quality of food, maintain local jobs, and support the Texas economy.”

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion hosts family listening sessions

On Wednesday, July 21 and Aug. 4 from 6 – 7:15 p.m. the Round Rock ISD office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) will host a 75-minute listening session with parents/guardians of District students. These sessions will include a 15-minute overview of the District’s focus on delivering an equitable learning environment for every student enrolled in our schools and programs; with a remaining 60-minute question and answer session.

Social Emotional Learning Camps

The move from elementary to middle school can be very challenging. Round Rock ISD’s Department of Behavioral Health Services is supporting students during their transition by holding Social-Emotional Learning Camps (SEL Camps) this summer to help incoming middle school students develop the tools and techniques to make the next school year easier.
