With performances from students lighting up the auditorium walkways, community members and District leadership came together to celebrate the opening of the Cedar Ridge High School Auditorium on Dec. 7.
“I’m thrilled for the students, parents and community members who will be able to experience this world-class facility, which is the result of our community’s support,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “When we are able to come together as a community to support public education and provide a world-class education in conjunction with facilities like these, we truly do provide our students with the best opportunities for success.”
The auditorium was approved in the 2014 Bond and is located at Cedar Ridge, 2801 Gattis School Rd., in Round Rock. The auditorium will serve students and programs across its respective learning community.
“Today is a huge celebration for our Fine Arts students and programs in Round Rock ISD,” said Board President Diane Cox. “Our District is full of talented students and this facility will provide endless possibilities for them to thrive and fully develop their potential in the Fine Arts. We are thankful for our community’s investment of time and tax dollars and support of our students as they have made today possible.”
