Round Rock ISD has named Jeff Uselman the new Director of Instructional Technology.
Uselman served as the District’s assistant director of instructional technology for secondary schools since 2010 and previously served as an instructional technology specialist at McNeil High School. Uselman has been an educator for 28 years and has worked with educational technology since 2001.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead the Instructional Technology Department and look forward to carrying on the world-class work the department is known for,” Uselman said. “Our goal is to create engaging learning environments where students have the technology tools to solve real world problems and I’m proud to lead these efforts.”
During his time as assistant director of instructional technology for secondary schools, Uselman was a key contributor to the design, development and implementation of the Next Generation Digital Classroom Pilot, which strategically integrated technology into classrooms across the District.
A graduate of Moorehead State University, Uselman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and continued his education, earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
As Director of Instructional Technology, Uselman will work with campuses and departments to ensure students partake in innovative, engaging educational experiences that will prepare them for the future.
“Mr. Uselman brings a true passion for innovative thinking and leadership to the Instructional Technology team,” said Mandy Estes, chief of teaching and learning. “Our students must be well-versed in technology and best-practices needed for success in the future. I am confident Mr. Uselman and the entire Instructional Technology team will work to serve our students and staff as they bring more innovative practices to Round Rock ISD.”
