Round Rock ISD has named Nachelle Scott the new principal of Hernandez Middle School.

Scott has served as the Lead Assistant Principal of Humble Middle School and Summer School Principal in Humble ISD since 2007. She has previously served as an Assistant Principal of Data and Information, Instructional Literacy Coach and teacher. She has a total of 19 years of experience in education.

“I am beyond excited to join both the Hernandez Middle School and Round Rock ISD family,” Scott said. “I believe in the importance of relationships and I look forward to meeting the students, teachers, parents and community members soon. I am truly honored to serve the Hernandez Middle School community and look forward to an outstanding year.”

Scott is a graduate of University of Houston — Clear Lake, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Science in Educational Management. She also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University.

“Nachelle Scott is an outstanding educational leader and a passionate advocate for public education and student success,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “She supports campus achievement and high quality teaching and learning. I am confident that she will bring this experience and more to Hernandez to further its established tradition of excellence.”

Hernandez, located in Round Rock, features an enrollment of 754 students.
