From hands-on learning to creative exploration, our summer programs are designed to keep students engaged, supported, and ready for the year ahead. Many programs also include meals and bus transportation.
Bond Project Impact: Safety and Security in Round Rock ISD
Round Rock ISD’s 2018 Bond proposal includes nearly $30 million for upgrades to safety and security districtwide. One of those upgrades would be a video intercom system at each campus which requires every visitor to be granted entry through a locked front door after office staff are able to screen both visually and audibly. The system has been piloted at Westwood High School beginning last spring.

If Round Rock ISD’s proposed Bond passes on Nov. 6., a new elementary school would be built in northeast Round Rock ISD to provide space for a growing student population and relieve crowding at Herrington. Elementary #35 would provide space for about 900 students and is budgeted to cost $48 million, which includes furnishings and technology.

Students, Pre-K – Grade 12, offered flu shot at Saturday Clinic
Round Rock ISD students, Pre-K through grade 12 are encouraged to receive their annual flu vaccination on Saturday, Oct. 20., from 9 a.m. to noon at C.D. Fulkes Middle School located at 300 W. Anderson Ave., Round Rock, 78681.
Students learn, then earn with HVAC and Plumbing Certification
In a Round Rock ISD student survey, 68 percent of high school students indicate a skilled profession as a fulfilling career option. Students interested in skilled professional HVAC and plumbing careers are encouraged to register to earn their certification. After four months of hands-on instruction, students may be certified as an HVAC technician or Level 1 plumber.
Westwood Speech and Debate Team ranked top 10 in the nation
The success of the 2017 - 2018 Westwood High School Speech and Debate Team continues as the team was recently ranked amongst the top 10 in the nation by the National Speech and Debate Association.
