Central Texas Teen and Kids Comic Con held on Feb. 16
Round Rock ISD Library Services hosts the Central Texas Teen & Kids Comic Con at Round Rock High School (201 Deep Wood Dr., Round Rock) on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This free event offers teens, kids, and educators the chance to interact with comic creators, participate in workshops, and showcase their creativity.
Community Invited to be Superheroes for Mental Health at Hope Walks Here
Saturday, March 9 students, parents, and community members are invited to walk for and learn about mental health at the second annual Hope Walks Here walk. The two-mile Hope Walks Here walk will be held at Pearson Ranch Middle School, located at 8901 Pearson Ranch Rd. in Austin. Registration and a resource fair open at 9 a.m. with the walk set to begin at 10 a.m.
Statement from Board of Trustees President Chad Chadwell regarding authorization to speak on behalf of the Board
The Round Rock Independent School District’s Board of Trustees, at a meeting on January 24, 2019, took action on two matters to provide specificity to rules already in effect regarding authority to speak on behalf of the Board or the District. Because these actions have been interpreted by some as a violation of Trustees’ First Amendment rights, we thought it necessary to clarify.
