McNeil and Westwood High School’s Robotics teams are celebrating the end of a successful competition season! Both teams made progress this year and earned recognition for their performance and technical skill at various tournaments.

Partners in Education Foundation Golf Tournament raises $121,500 for Round Rock ISD students and teachers
The Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation raised a record-breaking $121,500 during the sold-out 2019 19th Annual Golf Classic on October 7 at The Golf Course at Star Ranch. The annual tournament, which was themed “Be A Hero” this year, raises funds to support Round Rock ISD students and teacher programs.
62 Round Rock ISD students named National Merit Scholar semifinalists
A total of 62 Round Rock ISD students have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Westwood High School, with 44 semifinalists, led the District in total semifinalists.

Round Rock ISD Trustees approve 2019-2020 tax rate, recognize the District for superior financial management rating
The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approved a $1.2348 tax rate at the regular meeting on September 26. The approved rate reflects a general operating rate of $0.97 and a $0.2648 rate for debt service, which is a $0.07 decrease from the previous year.
