Trap
Westwood High School Theatre Arts
Wednesday, Oct. 9, Friday, Oct. 11 & Saturday, Oct. 12, 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.
An incomprehensible event: every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious–every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary-style. But as the strands weave together into an increasingly dangerous web, it becomes clear that this phenomenon might not be entirely in the past.

And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson
McNeil High School Theatre Arts
Thursday, Oct. 24, Friday, Oct. 25 & Saturday, Oct. 26, 7 p.m.
It’s the 1950’s in Jackson, Ind., a young woman named Elizabeth Willow, exposed to polio as an infant, uses a wheelchair and wears leg braces and feels bound by those elements of her life. She is a wonderfully bright and capable girl, but that potential is unseen by many. Adults pity her; children fear her and the few people who are willing to allow Elizabeth in their lives keep her at arm’s length, anxious at what others may think. The account of the agonies inflicted on this young girl growing up in a small—and small-minded—Indiana town are vivid and deeply affecting.

Tracks
Stony Point High School Theatre Arts
Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2, 6:30 p.m.
In this one-act play Tracks, 10 people from all over the country find themselves in a single subway station after their deaths. As these characters discuss their lives and deaths, they reveal their fears and vulnerabilities – elements that only complicate the question of whether their train goes “up” or “down.” In this play written specifically for high schoolers by a high school teacher, questions of what makes a person good or bad, what is forgivable or condemnable, and how much a person can rely on faith challenge the audience to answer these philosophical questions for themselves.

Tickets $5.00 adult, $3.00 students. Follow us on social media for announcements when tickets go on sale.
Location: Stony Point High School Auditorium, 1801 Tiger Trail, Round Rock.
