Our schools thrive because of the time, energy, and passion our volunteers bring to the district. We have more than 8,500 active family volunteers serving as mentors, W.A.T.C.H. Dogs, chaperones, booster club members, classroom helpers, event organizers, library aides, and more. Their commitment to our students and staff is truly magical.
Brian Braudrick Named Principal of Live Oak Elementary School
Brian Braudrick has been named the new principal of Live Oak Elementary School. Braudrick has served as the assistant principal of Live Oak since 2016 and is currently serving Round Rock ISD as the Summer Learning Principal for third and fourth grade.
Superintendent’s Update: Summer Strength Training Camp and Fall
Given the current spike in COVID-19 cases across Texas and specifically here in the Austin area, we will be halting summer strength training camps for our athletes, which have been underway on high school campuses on a voluntary basis and with strict protocols since June 8. Earlier this week, the Texas Education Agency met Tuesday and Thursday with superintendents across the state via phone conference to outline guidelines for remote learning opportunities.
Home Access Center adds report cards
“Adding report cards is another way the District continues to add value to the Home Access Center,” said Katie Rice, student application support manager. “HAC is a central location for parents and students to manage their grades, assignments, and other information related to campus life.”
Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approve 2020-2021 budget
The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approved a budget of $450.7 million for the 2020-2021 year at its June 18 regular Board meeting. The budget includes funds to utilize new technology and learning resources to allow the District to adapt to changes in teaching and learning as a result of COVID-19.

Though the official start of school is still two months away, I know that our return—and how it will look and feel for our students and staff—is at the top of your mind. As we examine options for reopening, we remain grounded in the guiding principles we established when we first closed schools.
Prekindergarten and New Student Enrollment opens July 6
New students, Kindergarten through grade 12, and qualifying students entering prekindergarten have their first opportunity to enroll online on Monday, July 6. Online enrollment includes opening a parent/guardian account, completing required student forms, and uploading qualifying documents.
