Round Rock ISD Trustees approve 2020-2021 tax rate, recognize the District for 17th consecutive superior FIRST rating
The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approved a $1.2212 tax rate at the regular meeting on Sept. 17. The approved rate reflects a general operating rate of $0.9564 and a $0.2648 rate for debt service, which is a $0.01 decrease from the previous year.

Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation raised over $50,000 from community support to fund school supplies for Round Rock ISD students in need.
105 Round Rock ISD students named National Merit Scholar Semifinalists
A total of 105 Round Rock ISD students have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Westwood High School, with 78 semifinalists, led the District in total semifinalists.
Keeping Schools COVID-19 Free: Student Face Mask Expectations
All students* in Pre-K through grade 12 ARE REQUIRED to wear a mask over their nose and mouth (no valves/vented masks) on buses, other District vehicles, inside school buildings, and anywhere on school grounds, including outside. Face masks must be properly worn, covering the student’s mouth and nose. The use of neck gaiters as a face covering is discouraged.
April Nilson Named Principal of Berkman Arts Integration Academy
April Nilson has been named the new principal of Berkman Arts Integration Academy. Nilson has served as the assistant principal of Gattis Elementary School since 2015 and, during that time, helped assess campus culture and opportunities for improvement in the areas of equity and learning barriers.
