Girls Flag Football come to Round Rock ISD

Girls Flag Football has arrived in Central Texas! Through a partnership with the NFL Houston Texans three Round Rock ISD high schools will try out a pilot program this season. McNeil, Westwood, and Round Rock high schools will be playing against surrounding ISDs to claim the top spot in girls flag football for Central Texas.

Round Rock ISD trustees call for $998 million bond

Round Rock ISD trustees Thursday night called for a $998 million bond election to provide upgrades and address needs throughout the district. This is the district’s first bond in six years and would allow the district to replace instructional technology, HVAC, and other systems that are nearing the end of their useful lives. 

Westwood Tennis team earns back-to-back state titles

The Westwood High School Tennis team has cemented its status after earning back-to-back wins at the University Interscholastic League 6A State Championship. This is Westwood’s second straight 6A team championship title and its fourth in the past six years.

Student-athletes sign collegiate letters of intent

Round Rock ISD student-athletes recently took the next steps towards becoming collegiate athletes by signing early letters of intent. When student-athletes sign a National Letter of Intent, they have officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. The National Letter of Intent is issued to prospective student-athletes with a scholarship.

Round Rock ISD Aquatic Center ribbon cutting

Round Rock ISD Board Members, faculty, staff, and community members celebrated the official ribbon cutting for the Round Rock ISD Aquatic Center this week. The center was made possible by the voter-approved 2018 Bond and will serve Round Rock ISD swimmers, divers, and water polo players for many years to come.
