Message on Providing a Safe and Secure Learning Environment in Round Rock ISD

As you may have heard, Round Rock ISD is considering establishing its own police department as many public school districts across Texas have done.

We have long enjoyed a close partnership with local law enforcement agencies who we contract with to provide school resource officers on our campuses, but, unfortunately, those agencies no longer have the workforce to fully staff our secondary schools.

Hopewell students wins Southwest Region Miss Majorette title

Amber Sorenson, a sixth-grade student, at Hopewell Middle School student recently won the Southwest Regional Miss Majorette Advanced title for 10 to 12-year olds. This qualifies Amber to compete in the National Miss Majorette competition this summer at Notre Dame University.

Round Rock ISD names Alifia Britton Double File Trail principal

Round Rock ISD has named Alifia Britton the new principal of Double File Trail Elementary School. Britton has worked in Round Rock ISD since 2015 and most recently served as assistant principal at C.D. Fulkes Middle School. She has also worked as a District instructional specialist, assistant principal and master teacher in Austin ISD, Manor ISD and Pflugerville ISD. She has 18 years of experience in education.
