Marisa Ramirez has been named the new principal of Ridgeview Middle School.
Ramirez has served as assistant principal at Ridgeview and C.D. Fulkes middle schools since 2013. During that time she led the campus equity task force, which led to an increase in the number of students in advanced academics. She also led and guided a campus CARE team focused on providing social-emotional, counseling, and behavior support to students. She has 18 years of experience in education in the role of teacher, instructional coach, and administrator.
“The Ridgeview community is near and dear to my heart, and I am honored to continue the Panther legacy of tradition and excellence,” said Ramirez. “I am extremely excited to partner with the students, staff, and community to build a culture of equity and innovation, while fostering an environment that is focused on the social-emotional and academic needs of our students.”
