Listen to others, but do not become a blind follower.” These are the words of the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, a contemporary of Dr. Martin Luther King (MLK). As we observe MLK Day in 2022, I find Justice Marshall’s words more salient now than they were when he was alive. In 2022, the need for diversity of thought and dialectical thinking will be of cardinal importance as we continue to move towards educational equity.

Spring Semester COVID-19 Update

We are excited to welcome students back to campus tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 5. On Dec. 30, a COVID-19 protocol update was emailed to families, informing that masks will continue to be required in Round Rock ISD facilities. Additionally, we will continue to limit visitors on campus due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in Williamson and Travis counties and across the state and nation.

Round Rock ISD Mentor Program Seeks Volunteer Mentors for Students

January is National Mentoring Month – Mentorship can play a pivotal role in a child’s life. More than 400 District students, Pre-K through grade 12, need a mentor. The Round Rock ISD mentor program matches interested elementary, middle, and high school students with adult volunteer mentors.
