The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees adopted a resolution to recognize and honor the critical role that school nurses play in protecting the health of students, staff and communities during National Nurses Day on May 12. The resolution was approved during the Board’s regular April meeting.
The resolution highlights the tremendous efforts given by school nurses this year to help campuses navigate the global COVID-19 pandemic, while continuing to assist their communities with everyday and ongoing medical issues and healthcare needs. The support school nurses provide helps facilitate the educational success of students by providing access to care when children’s cognitive development is at its peak.
