Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees member Brian Sellers submitted his resignation to President Catherine Hanna. “It has been a great honor to serve the community I grew up in.” Trustee Sellers said. In accordance with state law, Trustee Sellers will continue to perform the duties of his office until a successor is sworn in to Place 1.

“We respect the decision Brian has made and appreciate the five years of service he gave to our district,” President Hanna said. “His deep roots in the community and the fact that he attended Round Rock ISD schools were a great asset for our Board. We are going to miss his positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.”

Trustee Sellers has served on the Board since 2008, and is the current Board secretary. In his letter to President Hanna and fellow trustees, he stated, “I feel we have made great progress together and with Dr. Steve Flores I believe our district will go to even greater heights.”

President Hanna said trustees will discuss a process for replacing Trustee Sellers at their Board Meeting on October 17, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Round Rock High School Lecture Hall.
