Round Rock ISD will be opening a permanent location for Success HS next fall and is currently accepting name nominations. The district will break ground for the school at 500 Gattis School Road, Round Rock on Sept. 24, 2013. The school is tentatively set to open for the 2014-15 school year.

Trustees approved using $25 million of its fund balance dollars in August 2012 to construct the new Success High School. The site was funded through the 2008 bond.

Success High School serves as the district’s “School of Choice” which provides students with accelerated instruction, a smaller class environment and flexible extended hours. Students at Success HS receive a customized graduation plan suited for their individual and unique needs.

According to Round Rock ISD Board Policy CW (Local), the recommendations for school names shall be studied by a committee. • The location of the school facility may be used as a recommended name.
