House Bill 4545: How It Might Impact Your Student

With the STAAR test approaching, it’s important that our families and students be aware of some changes to education law effective this school year that may impact their student(s). Approved during the last legislative session, House Bill 4545  (HB 4545) requires campuses to provide 30 hours of intervention to support academic and STAAR score improvement for all students who do not receive a passing score on the STAAR test this school year.

Teacher Mentor Program

Round Rock ISD provides support to all early career teachers through the Teacher Mentor Program. Teachers are partnered with a mentor on campus as well as a Team Leader Coach. In addition, they receive support and guidance from Teacher Support Specialists at the administrative level.

Dr. Laura Carlin-Gonzalez named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning

Dr. Laura Carlin-Gonzalez has been named Round Rock ISD's executive director of teaching and learning, where she will provide leadership and oversight for the District’s teaching and learning programs, including curriculum and assessment, library services, professional development, and instructional technology.
