Summer counselors offer graduates guidance for higher education and jobs
Throughout the summer, Round Rock ISD high schools will provide the services of a dedicated "summer melt" counselor, who will assist recent graduates in navigating their path toward higher education, the workforce, or a combination of both.
Round Rock ISD bands exhibit musical achievements at Festival of Bands
Festival of Bands’ spectacular sights and sounds celebrate Round Rock ISD students’ musical achievements in the District’s instrumental music programs. Families and community members will enjoy watching and listening to band and color guard students from our 16 secondary schools perform inspiring musical choreographed routines.
Laurel Mountain student becomes published author
Pranshi Mehta, a fifth grader at Laurel Mountain Elementary School, has written and now published an adventure book. Pranshi said she wanted to write a book about a young girl going on adventures and even saving her dad to show girls can be adventurous too. All the proceeds from the book benefit the Malala Fund, a non-profit organization that advocates for girls' education.
C.D. Fulkes Middle School Open for Learning
Take a look inside Round Rock ISD's newest middle school...C.D. Fulkes Middle School. The new state-of-the-art building, which was one of the most significant projects of Bond 2018, opened this Fall to students and staff. From the new gyms to the original C.D. Fulkes flooring being converted into a seating area in the library, everyone is loving the new learning environment.
Marching Band in Full Effect
High school marching bands have been hard at work in preparation for halftime. Bands have been practicing and preparing for the last four weeks, often 10+ hours a day in order to wow the fans and compete in band competitions throughout the fall.
2022-2023 Leadership Round Rock ISD Applications Now Open
The application for community members to join the 2022-2023 Leadership Round Rock ISD cohort is now open. Leadership Round Rock ISD is a District service group where members participate in active discussions and receive an in-depth learning experience about the school District.
Andrea Larson named Finalist for Texas Teacher of the Year
McNeil High School teacher Andrea Larson got the news that she’s a finalist in the secondary category for Texas Teacher of the Year. Larson is one of three finalists selected from Teacher of Year region winners from school districts across the state.
