Trustees approve compensation plan for 2025–26 school year
Round Rock ISD trustees on Tuesday night approved a compensation plan for the 2025–26 school year. With the Texas Legislature in session this year, school districts had to wait to finalize compensation plans and annual budgets as lawmakers worked on a public school funding bill.

Informational Sessions on Grade Point Average and Rank In Class Updates
Parents and students are invited to attend virtual and in-person informational sessions on potential updates to the grade point average (GPA) and rank in class (RIC) calculation guidelines in February and March. If approved, the proposed updates could impact students currently enrolled in middle school and younger.
Black History Month Featuring African American Studies
The Texas Education Agency describes Advanced African American Ethnic Studies as an elective course in which students learn about Black American history and cultural contributions. This course assists students in understanding issues and events from multiple perspectives. This course develops an understanding of Black American culture's historical roots, especially regarding social, economic, and political interactions within the broader context of United States history.
C.D. Fulkes Middle School achieves Level 3 certification in Marzano High Reliability Schools
C.D. Fulkes Middle School has reached a Level 3 certification in Marzano High Reliability Schools. Level 3 certification means C.D. Fulkes Middle School has created a “Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum,” which requires schools to create a single curriculum that is taught by all teachers.
