Round Rock ISD staff from the Round Rock Opportunity Center collect over 1,100 gifts for Blue Santa
Round Rock Opportunity Center's (RROC) 40 staff members have amassed over 1,100 gifts for this year's Round Rock Blue Santa project. The gift drive is part of the school's campus improvement plan for supporting campus connections and meeting children's holistic social and emotional needs. This marks the RROC's second year participating in the Blue Santa toy drive. After collecting 75 toys last year, the staff took it to another level this year by breaking into teams for a friendly competition.

For the second consecutive year, Round Rock ISD has been named a District of Distinction for its Visual Arts Program by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA). Negrete has more than 20 years of experience in education. She is bilingual Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas at El Paso, and earned her Master’s degree in administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa.
