Round Rock ISD, 3 high schools named 2021 State of Education Award Winners by Austin Chamber of Commerce
Last week, the Austin Chamber of Commerce named Round Rock ISD and McNeil, Stony Point and Westwood high schools award winners during their 2021 State of Education and Talent event on Oct. 28. The annual celebration recognizes school districts and campuses for their progress and successes in developing future talent and preparing students for postsecondary and career success.
2021 U.S. News & World Report: Westwood ranked among the best high schools in the country
Westwood High School has been ranked in the top 100 high schools in Texas and the top 500 in the nation, according to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools ranking.

Angelica Negrete named Wells Branch Elementary Arts Integration Academy principal
Negrete has more than 20 years of experience in education. She is bilingual Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas at El Paso, and earned her Master’s degree in administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa.
