104 Round Rock ISD students named National Merit Scholar Semifinalists
A total of 104 Round Rock ISD students have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Westwood High School, with 68 semifinalists, led the District in total semifinalists.
Andrea Larson named Finalist for Texas Teacher of the Year
McNeil High School teacher Andrea Larson got the news that she’s a finalist in the secondary category for Texas Teacher of the Year. Larson is one of three finalists selected from Teacher of Year region winners from school districts across the state.
Students rebound from COVID learning loss: Significant growth earns District an 89 on report card
Round Rock ISD continues to post high marks on the state’s report card for public schools, with 85 percent of campuses earning an A or B. Overall the District earned a B, which carries a designation of Recognized Performance. More schools earned an A than ever before, with 27 posting the highest possible rating. Eighteen campuses earned a B.
