Strength and Conditioning for Fall Athletics to Resume This Week
Round Rock ISD will begin UIL training activities for cross country, volleyball, football, and team tennis on Thursday, August 20. Strength and conditioning and sport-specific drills will be allowed in accordance with the latest information from local health authorities and the UIL.

Board of Trustees Approves Funding to Hire 15 Social Workers and Allocate $1.2 Million to Equity Efforts
The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approved a budget amendment Thursday that provides $1.17 million to hire 10 social workers as District employees and contract with an additional five. The budget amendment also earmarks $1.2 million to establish an Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Round Rock ISD.
Round Rock High School Students Receive National ServiceVote Fellowship
Even though they will not be able to vote in the upcoming presidential election, a group of Round Rock High School students has been awarded the ServiceVote Fellowship from Youth Service America. The prestigious fellowship is one of only 10 awarded in the nation.

Tyler Hultman Named Principal of Fern Bluff Elementary School
Tyler Hultman has been named the new principal of Fern Bluff Elementary School. Hultman has served as the assistant principal of Pond Spring Elementary School since 2017 and, during that time, helped create a school-wide reward system that focused on positive student behaviors and reduced discipline referrals.

Negrete has more than 20 years of experience in education. She is bilingual Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas at El Paso, and earned her Master’s degree in administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa.
