Students across Round Rock ISD are coming together to create works of art for the new Dell Seton Medical Center that will open in 2017. Students from elementary, middle and high schools are creating pieces of visual art that will be placed into a large art mosaic at the facility.

Voigt outdoor space to bloom into Learning Garden through Bond 2014

The Voigt Elementary School blacktop will undergo a transformation into a garden with funds provided by Bond 2014. The new garden is part of a study conducted by the University of Texas at Austin, and funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. The program, TX Sprouts, will explore whether growing fruits and vegetables and learning nutrition and cooking skills can improve health and reduce childhood obesity.

Students at Round Rock High School are helping create future leaders while gaining valuable experience for their anticipated careers. These students are part of the new Learning Leaders program. The program is designed to give members of the Child Guidance class first hand knowledge of what it’s like to work with children on a daily basis by assisting teachers at District elementary schools.
