300 Round Rock ISD families receive gifts and food for the holidays.

Purple Sage Elementary has been busy gathering food to donate a local food pantry. Principal Nelson said, “when we put the call out for food the response was overwhelming.” Purple Sage Elementary will donate all items collected to the Round Rock Serving Center this week.

Round Rock ISD Police Department: The Four Pillars of Service

In February, the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to create a police department within the district. The newly established Round Rock ISD Police Department functions under four pillars of service. The pillars are safety and security, equity, behavioral health and student advocacy. Using the pillars as a guide, Police Chief Jeffrey Yarbrough says this is a school police department unlike any other in its approach to protecting students and staff.
