Round Rock ISD student-athletes ink collegiate letters of intent

Round Rock ISD student-athletes took the next steps towards becoming collegiate athletes by signing early letters of intent. When student-athletes sign a National Letter of Intent, they have officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. The National Letter of Intent is issued to prospective student-athletes with a scholarship.
November’s early signing day event marked the first day of early signing for all sports except football.

Varsity Football Home Game Tickets for Sale Online

On Thursday, Aug. 26 varsity football teams from Cedar Ridge and Stony Point high schools take the home field to kick off the 2021 season.

Football fans can avoid the line at the stadium box office and go straight to the gate with their mobile friendly e-ticket when they purchase home game tickets online. Game tickets go on sale every Monday at 8 a.m. for that week’s game(s). Pre-game online pricing ends at 5 p.m. on game day.

State immunizations requirements for back-to-school

Texas law requires certain immunizations for public school students to safeguard children against preventable diseases. While public health officials encourage everyone 12 and older to get the COVID-19 vaccine, students need other immunizations to attend school.

Round Rock ISD serves all students free meals through June 2022

Round Rock ISD Food Services will provide free meals, breakfast, and lunch for all students until June 2022. All students are encouraged to participate in free school meals. “As a federally funded program, Round Rock ISD Food Services receives reimbursement for each student meal served,” said Yana Koleva, director of food services. “The more students who eat meals at school, the more funding we have to invest in the quality of food, maintain local jobs, and support the Texas economy.”

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion hosts family listening sessions

On Wednesday, July 21 and Aug. 4 from 6 – 7:15 p.m. the Round Rock ISD office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) will host a 75-minute listening session with parents/guardians of District students. These sessions will include a 15-minute overview of the District’s focus on delivering an equitable learning environment for every student enrolled in our schools and programs; with a remaining 60-minute question and answer session.

On Tuesday, June 15 through Thursday, June 17, community members ages 12 and up can receive their second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at Stony Point High School Auditorium, located at 1801 Tiger Trail in Round Rock.

McNeil High School unveils new mascot logo

McNeil High School has been delivering excellence in education to students in grades 9 through 12 for 30 years. When the campus opened to students in 1992, the school community adopted Vision into Reality as their motto, navy blue, forest green, and white as their spirit colors, and the Maverick horse as their mascot.
