The Grisham Middle School Saxophone Ensemble has been invited to perform at the renowned Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference this December in Chicago, Illinois.
This honor places the ensemble among a select group of student musicians from across the globe chosen to participate in the 80th annual event later this year. With more than 18,000 music educators, students, and industry leaders attending each year from all 50 states and over 40 countries, the Midwest Clinic is one of the most prestigious stages in music education.
The Grisham Saxophone Ensemble submitted a rigorous application process, including video and audio recordings, ensemble photos, and letters of recommendation. Their selection highlights the program’s continued excellence and dedication to high-quality music education.
“This is a tremendous honor for the Grisham Saxophone Ensemble and a reflection of the outstanding work of students and directors,” said Jager Loyde, Director of Fine Arts – Music. “Grisham has built a legacy of musical excellence over the many years of its existence, and this latest invitation to the Midwest Clinic showcases the continued dedication to this tradition. We are incredibly proud to see them represent Round Rock ISD on a national stage.”
This marks the fourth ensemble from Grisham Middle School to be invited to the Midwest Clinic in recent years.
