More than 1,000 people visited Round Rock ISD Pre-K and kindergarten classrooms last week for the district’s first-ever Early Learning Day.
The event welcomed families and their children and showcased the district’s early education programs at every elementary school.
Throughout the day, families visited classrooms and learned more about programs such as advanced academics, arts integration, dual language, STEAM, leadership, and special education services for Pre-K and kindergarten students.
“We were thrilled to host Early Learning Day and provide families with a firsthand look at the enriching opportunities we offer our young learners,” said Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez. “This event highlighted our commitment to providing a strong educational foundation. We are very excited to welcome these families into our school community!”
Lindsay Casey, Caraway Elementary PTA vice president, gave tours to prospective parents and spoke about her experience with students at the campus.
“I’ve said multiple times on these tours that my favorite thing about Carraway is that it’s small, cozy, and has a sweet, involved, active community,” said Casey. “Our staff has low turnover, and our administration is phenomenal. I hope these families get a chance to speak to our staff and see the amount of care that they have for our students.”
