Round Rock ISD invites the community to join us in extending a warm thank you to our Board of Trustees during School Board Appreciation Month.

Trustees are volunteers who oversee our district, serving our community as elected officers without financial compensation.

“We appreciate the hard work, leadership, and commitment our school board continuously shows to Round Rock ISD students and staff,” said Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez. “They work countless hours and always put students at the center of every decision they make. It has been an honor and privilege to work alongside them.”

Azaiez’s sentiment is one shared throughout the district.

“We are incredibly grateful for the time, dedication, and heart our trustees bring to serving our community,” said Natalie Nichols, senior chief of Schools and Innovation. “Their unwavering commitment helps create an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.”

The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven members, each elected to serve staggered four-year terms at large. Trustees hold monthly public meetings and serve on board committees that focus on subjects such as legislative priorities, safety and security, and Partners in Education Foundation, among others.

“Our trustees truly care about all of our students. They make difficult decisions, and they work hard to meet the needs of all our students,” said Azaiez. “Thanks to their leadership, we all come together—parents, staff, and stakeholders—and that collaboration ensures that Round Rock ISD remains a top-rated destination district.”
