Round Rock ISD voters approved 2024 Bond propositions A, B, and C, which included funding to provide upgrades and address needs throughout the district. They also elected trustees for places 1, 2, and 7.
“We are thankful to the voters of Round Rock ISD for their participation in the election and especially for the support we’ve received from the community,” Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez said. “We’re excited to start the work, and I look forward to seeing these projects come to fruition.”
This is the district’s first bond in six years and would allow for replacing instructional technology, HVACs, and other systems nearing the end of their useful lives.
District staff have been working to prepare a draft timeline for the $993 million of approved projects. The first sale of bonds will be early next year, and among the priorities for the funds are purchasing new student and teacher devices.
Board President Amber Landrum expressed gratitude for the extensive efforts of the Citizens Bond Committee volunteers, who spent months prioritizing projects, visiting Round Rock ISD campuses, and evaluating critical needs.
“I cannot overstate how much I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Citizens Bond Committee, who put countless hours into putting students first,” Landrum said. “Your dedication has not gone unnoticed.”

Proposition A – General Purpose: 61.70% for, 38.30% against
Proposition B – Technology: 58.79% for, 41.21% against
Proposition C – Fine Arts: 55.09% for, 44.91% against
Proposition D – Athletics & Stadiums: 42.98% for, 57.02% against
In addition, incumbent trustee Chuy Zárate was re-elected to his Place 1 seat with 55.3% of the vote, Melissa Ross won Place 2 with 62.1% of the vote, and Michael Wei was elected to Place 7 with 59.3% of the vote.
The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees has seven members, each elected at-large to serve staggered four-year terms. Elections are held in November of every even year.
New trustees will be sworn in and seated by the next regular meeting on Nov. 21.
