Congratulations to the Grisham Middle School Band, McNeil High School String Orchestra, and Saxophone Choir! The student musicians and the program directors have been chosen to showcase their talents at the prestigious Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, Illinois, scheduled from December 18-21, 2024.
This invitation is a remarkable accomplishment, considering that only a few string orchestras from the United States are selected to perform among the 18,000 music educators and students attending annually from all 50 states and over 40 countries. It marks 13 total Round Rock ISD ensembles selected to perform at the historical Midwest Clinic in Chicago since 2018.

“This is a rare accomplishment that is a testament to the consistent, high-quality instruction students receive in our music education programs,” said Jager Loyde, director of fine arts – music. “I am beyond proud of the work the students and directors have put into sustaining this standard of excellence.”
Grisham and McNeil received their Midwest Conference invitations by submitting performance audio and video, ensemble photos, school details, and recommendations from clinicians and the Fine Arts Director.
