Sjoukje Brown Named Principal of Pond Springs Elementary School.

Brown has served as the assistant principal of Vernagene Mott Elementary School in Pflugerville ISD since 2020 and previously served as the principal of Fox Meadow Elementary School in Illinois for seven years. During her time as an administrator, she helped lead campus improvement initiatives aimed at using data to advance student instruction and learning and implementing restorative practices. Before her time as a principal, she worked with students and campuses as an assistant principal and a high school English teacher. She has 21 years of experience in education.

“I am incredibly excited to start this new learning journey working with Pond Springs students, parents, and the greater community,” Brown said. “Together, we will develop an amazing learning community that focuses on the socio-emotional and academic needs of our students and that generates success for all.”
