Round Rock ISD bus driver Norman Briscoe has been named the 2020-2021 Regional Bus Driver of the Year.
Each year Property Casualty Alliance of Texas honors an exceptional bus driver who exhibits a consistent desire to positively influence both students and co-workers through their actions and attitudes.
His co-workers nominated Briscoe for the honor. Briscoe’s consistent demonstration of leadership, positive attitude, perseverance, student and parent relationships, and technical skill clinched him the commendation.
“I don’t think I have ever seen Norman without a smile on his face,” said Tina Faucett, director of transportation. “He is a positive force in our District, and we are all thrilled to see Norman recognized for his contributions to the profession.”
Briscoe has been a school bus driver for six years, four of which have been with Round Rock ISD. Before being a school bus driver, Briscoe was a train operator for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit for 15 years.
Congratulations, Norman!
