Eliza Gordon has been named the new principal of Wells Branch Arts Integration Academy (AIA).
Gordon most recently served Round Rock ISD as the Assistant Principal of Anderson Mill Elementary School since 2016, where she also served as the summer school principal in 2018. Prior to coming to Round Rock ISD, she held the positions of Bilingual Reading Specialist and Instructional Coach and elementary bilingual teacher in Austin ISD. She is a graduate of the District’s Team One leadership program, which provides aspiring principals with professional development to develop the skills needed in the campus principal role and is a member of the District’s Equity Task Force.
“I am honored and immensely excited to be the new principal of Wells Branch Arts Integration Academy,” Gordon said. “I am looking forward to getting to know the entire community, building partnerships, and developing a collective vision of academic and social and emotional excellence for every child. I am humbled to serve Wells Branch, the McNeil Learning Community, and Round Rock ISD.”
Gordon earned her Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor’s in Romance Languages and Literature from Wesleyan University.
“Eliza Gordon embodies what it means to be an effective leader who collaborates with her entire campus community to establish a culture for success for all students,” Superintendent Steve Flores, Ph.D. said. “I’m confident the Wells Branch Arts Integration Academy community will continue to grow and thrive under her leadership.”
