Round Rock ISD earned a “Met Standard” accountability rating, according to the recently released 2015-2016 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR).
The TAPR compiles a wide range of information on student performance in each Texas school and district. Performance measures include State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) results by grade, subject and student group; dropout and attendance rates; completion of advanced high school classes and graduation programs; and participation in college admissions tests.
“Round Rock ISD continues to surpass regional and state averages in performance indicator data, which further reinforces our success in serving all students,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “Our achievements are only possible through the hard work and dedication our students, teachers and support staff put in each day to make Round Rock ISD the Destination District for Public Schools.”
The reports also provide information on school and District staffing, programs, student discipline and demographics. Much of the data is collected through the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS). Each year, school districts must submit student, staff, demographic and program participation data electronically in a standardized format.
A public presentation of the results will be held at the Jan. 19, 2017 Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees meeting.
The TAPR and School Report Cards, broken down by District and campus, are also published online on the State Accountability page on the District website.
