Students from Sommer Elementary School placed 6th out of 80 teams in their level at the Global Finals of Destination Imagination held May 24-27 in Knoxville, TN. With over 15 countries competing, Destination Imagination is one of the largest tournaments in the world that tests student’s creativity.
Sommer competed in Show & Tech, the Technical challenge, under team name #SommerSuperStallion6. Team members included Zachary Adams, Nila Arunkumar, Kaitlin Chong, Audrey Marie Johnson, Emily Elizabeth Lam and Krithi Prabhu.
Other challenges include Top Secret (Scientific), In It Together (Engineering), Vanished! (Fine Arts), 3-Peat (Improvisational) and Ready, Willing & Fable (Service Learning).
England Elementary School placed 14th in the Top Secret challenge and Caraway Elementary School placed 32nd in the Ready and Fable Challenge.
