Round Rock ISD is seeking public input for the name of the District’s administration building, located at 1311 Round Rock Ave. in Round Rock. The community is encouraged to submit the naming feedback form, which will be accepted until May 9.
At the April 19, 2018 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board recommended naming the administration building in honor of Lillie Delgado. Lillie Delgado was a member of the Round Rock ISD Family who passed away on April 4, 2012. She faithfully served the students and staff of Round Rock ISD for 42 years as a teacher’s aide and as the Secretary to the Superintendent from 1977 to 2012. Her colleagues describe her as an exceptional woman who fought to the very end to live life to the fullest.
Per Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees policy, facilities may be named for any individual who is deceased and who has historical significance for the community, state, or nation.
The Board is seeking comment on this recommendation and/or for additional recommendations and names to consider. The District will receive public input on the naming until May 9 at 11:59 p.m. through the submission of feedback forms. The Administration team will review the information and share with the Board.
The Board of Trustees will meet on May 17, 2018 to discuss the committee recommendation. The Board may take action on naming the administration building on June 21, 2018.
