Families can now search an interactive map to see how the proposed middle school attendance area changes could affect them.
After parents and community members asked for an improved map, Templeton Demographics worked with the Communications team to create a web page for families to look up their address and scan through the District to see the current and proposed middle school attendance areas.
Round Rock ISD is currently in a public review of its proposal for 2017-18 middle school attendance area changes. The review period extends through October 13.
The District will hold two more public hearings, 7:30 p.m. in the cafeterias at:
- Chisholm Trail on September 28 and
- Walsh on September 29.
The public forums are an opportunity for community members to provide feedback to the District. The format is similar to regular Board of Trustees meetings. Attendees who wish to speak are required to sign up before 7:30 p.m. Individuals are given three minutes and spokesperson for groups can talk for five minutes. Comments are recorded but not responded to during the forum.
District leaders will be available to answer clarifying questions after the hearing.
