Round Rock ISD has named Steve Swain the new principal of Chisholm Trail Middle School.
Swain has served as the Assistant Principal of Chisholm Trail since 2011 and previously held assistant principal positions at Grisham Middle School and George I. Sanchez Elementary in Austin. He has a total of 20 years of experience in education.
“It is an honor to be given the opportunity to serve the Chisholm Trail community as their new principal,” Swain said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the students, staff, parents and community members to move further toward our goals of creating an environment that facilitates excellence for all and success at every level.”
Swain is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Elementary Education and Kinesiology from Texas State University.
“Steve Swain is a passionate educator and a champion for students across Round Rock ISD,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “He has an excellent reputation for collaborating with students, staff and parents for advancement at Chisholm Trail and I am confident that he will continue to bring strong leadership and experience to the campus’ learning community.”
Chisholm Trail, located in Round Rock, features an enrollment of 1024 students.
