More than 180 Round Rock ISD students gathered on Jan. 23, 2016 to exercise creativity while preparing for the Destination Imagination Regional Instant Challenge contest.
A total of 17 competitive teams participated in the event, which included roundtable discussions, team building activities and recognitions for outstanding team spirit, collaboration, leadership or overall positive attitude.
“Our goal was to bring our DI competitive teams together for a morning of on-the-spot critical thinking, creativity and team building as they prepare for the March 5 regional tournament.” Round Rock ISD Enrichment Coordinator Hope Scallan said. “The wonderful thing about Instant Challenges is that there isn’t one right way to solve the challenge, so teams are open to creativity and can learn from other teams’ solutions.”
Students in 12 elementary school, four middle school and one high school teams will compete at the Destination Imagination regional competition March. 5.
