Round Rock ISD has once again been recognized by The NAMM Foundation as one of the Best Communities for Music Education. This is the fifth time the District has earned the national designation.
Now in its 26th year, this award honors school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students. Round Rock ISD previously received this recognition in 2018, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our music educators and the support of our community in ensuring that every student has access to high-quality music education,” said Jager Loyde, Round Rock ISD Director of Fine Arts – Music. “We’re proud to be honored once again for making music an essential part of the student experience.”
To qualify for the designation, districts must submit detailed information about funding, participation, graduation requirements, facilities, and community support for music programs. Submissions are verified by school officials and reviewed by WolfBrown researchers.
Round Rock ISD’s fine arts program includes a wide range of music opportunities for students at all levels, including band, choir, orchestra, and general music instruction.
