“I am honored and thrilled to step into the role of principal at Laurel Mountain Elementary. This school is truly a special place—rich in curiosity, creativity, and care—and I feel incredibly fortunate to lead such a dynamic and compassionate community,” Master said. “I look forward to continuing the work of empowering both the hearts and minds of our students, and to building on the strong foundation of trust, joy, and connection that defines our campus.”

Masters started her educational career at Ridgeview Middle School, where she taught sixth-grade math at multiple levels before transitioning to Blackland Prairie Elementary as an administrative intern. Then, a fifth-grade teacher focused on data-driven instruction and inquiry-based learning.

Westwood Area Superintendent Dr. Zac Oldham said he believes Masters will be a strong leader for the campus.

Ms. Masters brings diverse professional experiences that make her an exceptional fit for the position. I am confident that Mandy will continue the proud tradition of excellence at Laurel Mountain Elementary,” he said.
