As the season of giving approaches, students, classes, and campuses throughout Round Rock ISD are busy preparing for numerous selfless acts that foster community and connection.
Grisham Middle School invites students, families, teachers, and area residents to its second annual “Grizzgiving” community dinner on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
The evening will feature a shared meal created with contributions from the Grizzgiving Can Drive and student showcases that highlight their unique talents. It’s an opportunity for everyone to come together, enjoy a meal, and connect with their community.
“We’re thrilled to bring back Grizzgiving this year,” said Leslie Price, a teacher at Grisham Middle School. “Last year’s event was a huge success with over 550 attendees, and this year, we’re setting our sights even higher with a goal of 800!”
Providing this opportunity for students, staff, and families not only helps grow a more positive culture in the school but also provides first-hand experience for students to learn from.
Eighth-grader Samuel L. said he’s looking forward to the event.
“Last year’s Grizzgiving was so much fun! It was amazing to see all my friends and teachers together. I can’t wait for this year’s dinner to be even bigger and better!”
With familiar faces, new friends, and lasting memories, Grizzgiving is a night for everyone.
“Grizzgiving is more than just dinner—it’s a celebration of our community and everything that makes us strong,” said Price.
Grisham Middle School looks forward to welcoming the community to this annual gathering and hopes to spread the message of kindness to all.
