Recently, Leadership Round Rock participated in K-12 Day, a collaborative event with Round Rock ISD and the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce designed to highlight the district’s innovative educational programs.

The group visited several campuses to see firsthand the unique approaches to student engagement and learning implemented within our district.

Jackie Cyriac, Supervisor of Community Partnerships and Government Relations, said she was proud to help promote Round Rock ISD.

“From Arts Integration Academies and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) initiatives to innovative career pathways, our schools create unique learning experiences that allow our students to thrive. It’s an honor to share these programs and collaborate with the Round Rock Chamber and our community members to ensure continued success for every student and staff member in Round Rock ISD,” she said.

Many community leaders who participated in K-12 Day said they were impressed with the district’s offerings.

“I was blown away by Round Rock ISD’s innovation from the elementary school level all the way through high school,” said Bradley Dushkin, Director of Planning and Development Services with the City of Round Rock. “The variety and quality of academic offerings in the district will ensure our students are well-prepared for the real world.”

Wylie Brownell, Assistant Fire Chief with the Round Rock Fire Department, also praised his visit.

“I am impressed with the innovative programs Round Rock ISD offers, particularly the career and technical programs at Cedar Ridge High School. These programs provide students with hands-on, real-world experiences that prepare them for future careers,” he said.

Leadership Round Rock visited Berkman Arts Integration Academy, C.D. Fulkes Middle School, Cedar Ridge High School, and the Round Rock Opportunity Center.
