Dear Round Rock ISD community,
Attending school events fills me with immense pride and joy. Each time I step into a gym buzzing with excitement during a volleyball game or a theater filled with laughter and applause for a student performance, I am reminded of the incredible talent and hard work our students put into their passions.
These gatherings – whether athletic competitions, fine arts performances, or academic showcases – provide opportunities to celebrate our students’ achievements, strengthen school spirit, and create lasting memories. They are a testament to the extraordinary opportunities our district provides students, made possible by the commitment of dedicated educators, support staff, booster clubs, and volunteers who consistently prioritize the well-being and growth of our students.
This fall, sports-loving families are enjoying the excitement and intensity of our football, tennis, golf, and volleyball games and cross-country, swim, and water polo meets. They’re the perfect blend of family fun, bringing everyone together to root for their team, band, and cheer squads. Our district’s award-winning fine arts programming offers lively marching band performances, musicals, dramatic plays, impressive art exhibits, cultural fairs, and more. The arts promote self-expression, confidence, and emotional well-being, giving students an outlet to explore and communicate their unique perspectives and enhance their sense of belonging. By integrating the arts into the curriculum, teachers help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, all of which are essential for academic and personal success.
